Jenna Talackova Still Wins!

"The power that you get for having the crown—you can inspire so many people, so if I have to walk in a bikini for that, I will!"
`Jenna Talackova

Jenna Talackova, 23, makes history as the first ever transgender to compete in the Miss Universe-Canada pageant. She may have fallen short for not being able to take home the crown and missed the chance to represent Canada in the international Miss Universe competition this year (The crown went to Sahar Biniaz, 26.)but she has proven more than what it takes to become a Beauty Queen title holder.

Jenna Talackova just made a BIG CHANGE in the world by standing firm with her rights and beliefs. It was one groundbreaking SUCCESS not just to her but the whole LGBT community. I may not be sharing the same standing as her with regards to transgenders joining major beauty pageants, but I’m happy that she was actually able to fight for what she believes is right for her. Even though she wasn’t hailed the winner, I would still like to CONGRATULATE MS. JENNA for being so strong that she was able to successfully pursue her life-long dream of competing in a major beauty pageant. Hey! Being one of the 12 semi-finalist isn’t that bad at all.
